Bluewater 50lb Class Trolling Rod

Our 50lb class trolling rods are built on E-glass blanks and typically consist of a roller stripper guide, and roller tip with the guides in between being a durable double foot guide. 

The roller stripper and tip are can be built with either Winthrop or Alps. These blanks are primarily designed for fighting Yellow Fin Tuna, Wahoo, large Black Fin Tuna, Bull Mahi and an occasional Big Eye Tuna, although we have had several customers land giant size class Bluefin with them.

We typically pair these rod with a 50W size class reel and a size 2 unibutt again being either Winthrop or Alps. The Winthrop Terminator adjustable butt is a great option to  switch this setup from straight butt to bent butt for either stand-up or chair/ gunnel style fishing. Alps offers standard bent or straight butts provide a slightly lighter setup with a more streamlined design.
